Great post. Not giving away the store while trying to get a new client is a lesson I am still learning. In myriad little ways, clients can be quite demanding and you can find yourself so enmeshed in the process that you lose sight of how each concession is leading to only another demand. I'm trying to teach myself to take a moment before leaping enthusiastically into the project - take some time to think about what relationship could mean and what I would be willing to give to get it. And then stick to that.
